The Wine Route Chile
The Wine Route, Tradition, Art, Technique:
The history of Chile mixes with the grapevine and the wine. From the Spanish conquest, the sacrament of the catholic Eucharist is introduced in Chile and for that wine was required as a fundamental part. The missionaries considered indispensable to plant vineyards and to prepare Indian wines. From the late XIX century, an important impulse is noticed during which visionary businessmen invested in the grapevine as a form of cultural expression. Names like Macul, Errázuriz, Del Pedregal, Ossa, Urmeneta, among others, covered with grapevine great extensions of land setting the beginning of the Chilean fine wine. Famous are the Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir stocks.
After 100 years, it can be said that the Chilean wine has obtained the honor that is deserved, not only for the passing of time, but because of the real image that it has in the sustainable vine-growing world thanks to the technical work, the ideal climatic conditions and exceptional soils.
