Ushuaia National Park Tour (half day):

By means of this excursion, we will get to know and enjoy the Subantarctic Forest scenery, located on the coastline of the Beagle Channel, in the Southwest of the province of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and South Atlantic Islands.

We will depart from the hotels to the End of the World (Fin del Mundo) Train Station, where you can choose to link this ride with a visit to the park on the Southern Fuegian Railway (Ferrocarril Austral Fueguino).

We will wait for you at the Ensenada junction to visit the Ensenada Bay, where you will get an excellent view of Navarino and Hoste Islands, on the Chilean side of the Archipelago, and of Redonda Island. Then we will move on to Roca Lake after a short break at the “Little House in the Forest” (“Casita del Bosque”), where it will be possible to have local coffee and cakes.

We will continue with our ride and then stop at one of the “beaver dams” to watch some of those animals in that area. We will finish our visit to the park at Lapataia Bay, where National Route 3 ends, and it is also the South and West boundaries junction.

The Beagle Channel Sailing Tour (half day)

In the afternoon, we will depart from the tourist pier to sail across the Beagle Chanel, while watching the Argentine coastline and the Navarino Island (Chile) on the opposite side. We will arrive at Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, a symbol of Ushuaia. On our way back, we will pass by some small islands; sea lions can be appreciated in one of them and a wide variety of birds in the other. Arrival at Ushuaia.

The Beagle Channel Navigation Tour starts at Ushuaia’s tourist port. There you will embark on a catamaran to sail across Ushuaia Bay. As the boat moves away from the coast, enjoy amazing views of the city’s landmarks and the mountains that surround the island, such as Montes Olivia, Cinco Hermanos, los Montes Escarpados, as well as estancias Fique and Túnel and the Encajondado River. A few minutes later, heading southwest, this guided maritime tour will turn into the Beagle Channel, until it reaches Isla de los Cormoranes,home to the marine bird typical to this zone. Observe them hunting fish by diving into the water, before continuing your navigation to Isla de Lobos. Here you will get so see these amazing animals up close from a number of angles, and learn more about the habits of this colony of sea lions. Finally, this maritime excursion will continue through the Beagle Channel to reach one of the most representative symbols of adventure travel: the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, which in French means ‘enlighteners’ or ‘scouts’. This lighthouse is also known, incorrectly, as the Lighthouse at the End of the World: a reference to Jules Verne’s novel, which in turn refers to the San Juan Salvage. The Eclaireurs Lighthouse may not be the southernmost, but it is famous for its location and is the reference point for the channel. After visiting this famous landmark, return to Ushuaia.

The Fuegian Andes Tour "Fagnano and Escondido Lakes" (full day)

The idea on this tour is to discover the fascinating geography of the Fuegian Andes. We start from the Beagle, to get into the mountain area where the geological formation of the place is appreciated and peak shapes of mountains with color colored by the presence of forest on its slopes are.

The first stop will be in the Carvajal Valley where perfect division is between Alvear and Martial Montes is observed. That's where we have the peat processing establishments in the area to be used mainly in gardening.

The glacial valleys that are separated each of the strands that make up the Andean massif and where we stop to take pictures and also to visit the kennels Siberian and Alaskan Huskies.

On reaching the highest point of the trail at 480 meters above sea level we will have a wonderful view down Lake Escondido, far after traveling few kilometers on the vehicle will descend on the banks of the same and then continue trip to Lake Fagnano, one of the largest lakes in South America. After admiring it and see how that geological fault zone has modified the coast over the years, we return to the city.

Depending on the time we stop at some valley to taste a lamb barbecue (optional).

Beagle Channel Cruise and Walk with Penguins (7 hours)

Come sail along the Beagle Channel and explore its fascinating islands. Stop at one and walk with penguins, and visit the famous Harberton Estancia and is amazing museum.

Travel to Argentine Patagonia and experience the legendary Beagle Channel and its surrounding scenery. Make the experience even more special by walking with penguins on Martillo Island with this magical tour in South America.

This excursion in Ushuaia can be done in two ways: either you can go by boat to the destination and return by land, or vice versa. Both options visit the same attractions.

One of the top attractions you will visit on this tour from Ushuaia is Estancia Harberton, the oldest, and most traditional and authentic ranch in Ushuaia. Here you will take a guided tour of the Acatushún Museum of Southern Birds and Mammals, where you’ll see the incredible collection of over 2,700 skeletons of marine mammals and 2,300 birds.

You will also sail on the Beagle Channel to the islands of Lobos, Pájaros, Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, and to Martillo Island where you’ll get to walk with penguins among the largest colony of Magellanic penguins in Tierra del Fuego. Lakes Off Road 4x4 Adventure (full day)

Departing from Ushuaia, we will travel northwards along National Route 3 (about 60 km), where we will enjoy the scenery of Carbajal and Tierra Mayor Valleys, up to Garibaldi Crossing Point, a panoramic spot that offers a breathtaking view of Escondido and Fagnano Lakes.

We will continue our trip to Bronzovich Sawmill, and then take a complementary route, which becomes an inaccessible trail a few kilometres away.

Finally, we will arrive at Fagnano Lake shore. From then on, we will travel (Off Road) about 10 kms along the shore of the Lake, passing by the lake in some areas and going through tight forest trails in others. We will continue our trip along Bombilla Lagoon, and then go back into the forest.

By taking a secondary road, we will go back to National Route 3, from where we will return to Ushuaia.

Husky Adventure in Ushuaia (half day)

We are going to go north from the city, to Tierra Mayor Valley, where the guide and huskies will be waiting for you. The guide will begin with a talk, in which he´ll give you an overview of the sled dogs and take you to visit the breeding area. He will explain how to manage a dog sled, from putting it together to driving it. 

You’ll then harness the dogs and hook them up to the sled and from there, this exciting experience will begin! You’ll go sledding for 9km through the snowy valley before arriving at the “Woodcutter's Shelter” where you’ll have the chance to regain your energy levels and enjoy the magical white silence.

Once you’re feeling well rested, it’ll be time to get the dogs ready and return to Tierra Mayor.

Snow & Fire Adventure (5 hours)

At the beginning of our excursion, a transfer will take you to the Tierra Mayor valley; here is where we are going to walk on snowshoes for around 30 minutes.

The trail it´s signposted by torches, with this help, we are going to reach the cabin, where delicious brochettes and stew are waiting for us to have dinner right next to a bonfire, music and coffee (Hachero´s coffee) are going to be present as well.

There are 3 types of transport options for the Dinner and Campfire on the snow tour:
a) Arrival: Snowshoeing / Return: Dog sledding.
b) Arrival: Dog Sledding / Return: Snowcat
c) Arrival: Dog sledding / Return: Closed and heated Caterpillar vehicle

Dogs Sled and Hike Adventure (5 hours)

The excursion consist in going to Tierra Mayor, where you are going to enjoy a dog´s sledding through the valley and then you will stop on  the shelter to have  ahot chocolate and before coming back to Ushuaia, you are going to do a 1 hour and a half walk with snowshoes.

The transfer is going to pick you up from your hotel in Ushuaia, to go to Tierra Mayor Valley, where we are going to have a dog´s sledding ride, with the beautiful Siberian Huskies.

During our tour, we are going to go through old trails in the lenga´s forest, this trails are going to take us to the Hachero´s shelter where you are going to put on the snowshoes for the second part of this adventure.

Once we are ready, the walk until the Helo´s waterfall In the Alvear and the viewpoint of the Valley.

The way back to the shelter is going to be faster, since the way is going to be down the hill and there a hot chocolate is going to be waiting for you. Finally we take the way to Tierra Mayor Valley before going back to the hotel in Ushuaia.

Andina Experience: Ice Climbing and Trekking (half day)

This excursion is going to be in Tierra Mayor with a visit to the Alvear´s ice waterfall.

We are going to Tierra Mayor Valley, after picking you up from your hotel, where you are going to do an ice climbing. Once in the Hachero´s shelter, you are going to enjoy a hot chocolate. After, we are going to do a trek of 2 hours and a half with snowshoes. Once is the adventure is doe we come back to Ushuaia.

The transfer is going to pick you up from your hotel and is going to go north to take to Tierra Mayor Valle, where you are going to have a briefing from the instructor about how to walk with snowshoes.

When you get your snowshoes on, you are going to cross the valley, with the snowshoes; we are going to have the possibility of access to hard places that will show incredible landscapes.

You are going to see the Alvear´s ice waterfall and then you are going to come back towards the cañadon of the Tierra Mayor river, where we are going to enjoy a hot chocolate at  the Hachero´s shelter before coming back to the Valley.
After this you are going to get some ice climbing instructions, that you can do on the natural waterfalls or the artificial waterfalls.
