Córdoba is the capital of Córdoba Province and the second-largest city in Argentina after the autonomous city of Buenos Aires.
The city has many historical monuments preserved from the Spanish colonial rule, especially buildings of the Roman Catholic Church. In this tour, we will discover that Córdoba has reigning nature, old architecture, latent history, modernity and economic growth in each of its corners. The culture and history remain on the streets materialized in old buildings, churches, museums, providing a route that visitors can tour without restrictions.

Punilla Valley Tour

Punilla Valley Tour (full day)

The Valley of Punilla is one of the most beautiful fluvial valleys of Argentina, in close vicinity to the city of Cordoba. With its stunning lakes and scenery and quaint mountainside villages.

We leave Córdoba on E-55 route for get to know La Calera, la Usina Hidroeléctrica (power station) and the dam of San Roque, the oldest of the province. We pass by for Bialet Massé and Santa Maria de Punilla until we arrive in Cosquín, the capital of national folclore music. Through Valle Hermoso we are arrive to La Falda, where we pass the classic road Av. Edén, the comercial centre, etc.

After going through Huerta Grande and Villa Giardino we arrive in Capilla del Monte, submontane to the mystic hill Uritorco, where we see the canopied street “calle techada”, stonefomation “el Zapato” and dam of El Cajón, etc. continuing the journey we visit Los Cocos (optional ascent in chair-lift), Cruz Grande, Cruz Chica and La Cumbre, with its manorial houses in  european style. In the afternoon we visit Villa Carlos Paz, an excellent turistic centre.

Afterwards we go back to Córdoba on the highway.

Traslasierra Valley Tour

Traslasierra Valley Tour (full day)

Nature, rivers, mountains and a pleasant climate make the Traslasierra Valley a unique place for you to discover and fall in love. Discover the Traslasierra Valley, literally meaning ‘across the mountains’, a beautiful valley situated to the west of the Sierra Grande. 

We leave Córdoba on RN 20, pass by the picturesque localities of Villa Carlos Paz, San Antonio de Arredondo, Mayú Sumaj, Icho Cruz and Cuesta Blanca. Then the way “El Camino de las Altas Cumbres” and enjoy impressive panoramic views.

On our route we visit different spots like the waterfall “Lágrima del Indio”, the viewpoint “Fundación el Cóndor”, the “Pampa Achala”, the spring of the river Mina Clavero, etc. Arriving to Mina Clavero we get to know the “spa of the elefants” (balneario), the shopping centre etc. In Villa Cura Brochero we  pass by the church where the famous Cura Gaucho once hold his homilies.

We drive on to Nono, watch the typical hills of Ñuño and visit the museum “Polifacético Rocsen”. Finally we return to Córdoba on the track “Bosque Alegre” with panoramic views on Terrena Station and the national observatory.

Calamuchita Valley Tour

Calamuchita Valley Tour (full day)

The Calamuchita Valley is surrounded by amazing lakes, rivers and crystal clear streams which flow down the valley from the picturesque mountain villages.

We leave Córdoba on RP 5 route, pass by the monument of Miryam Stefford towards Alta Gracia, where we vist the Estancia Jesuítica of Alta Gracia (Museo del Virrey Liniers) and the parents' house of Che Guevara.

Continuing towards Anisacate, La Bolsa and Villa Ciudad de América, situated on the banks of lake of Los Molinos. Arriving to Santa Rosa de Calamuchita, where we get to know its city centre and spas. We go through the localities of Villa Rumipal and Villa del Dique, reaching the reservoir of Tercero river, the biggest artificial lake in the province of Córdoba, surrounded by the Nuclear Power Station, the power station and the funnel.

Afterwards we visit Villa General Belgrano, with its partly centraleuropean townscape. Returning to Córdoba.

La Cumbrencita Tour

La Cumbrencita Tour (full day)

La Cumbrecita is a stunning, secluded alpine-like hamlet in the beautiful surroundings of the Calamuchita Valley in Cordoba, Argentina.

We leave Córdoba on RP 5. We pass by the monument of Miryam Stefford, Alta Gracia, Anisacate, La Bolsa and Villa Ciudad de América. Continuing the trip we cross four rivers which are tributaries for the lake Los Molinos, we pass the localities Potrero de Garay and Los Reartes, from there we ascend to the Sierras Grandes, going through a picturesque region of coniferous forests.

We cross Villa Berna and arrive at La Cumbrecita, a hamlet in alpine style, which has the particularity being one of the few pedestrian villages worldwide. We visit the spa of La Olla, the traditional hotel La Cumbrecita, the chapel ecumenical, etc. Afterwards we get to know Villa General Belgrano, with its partly centraleuropean townscape.

We take up the way back on RP 5 passing the road “Curva del Viento”, and enjoy a great panoramic view over the lake and dike of Los Molinos, and set off for our return to Córdoba.

Jesuit Legacy Tour

Jesuit Legacy Tour (full day)

The Jesuit Legacy  Tour is perfect and recommended for any traveller wanting to find out more about the history of the Jesuit Order in Argentina and its influence on the traditions and educational legacy left on the province of Cordoba, besides of the architectonical gems hidden in the stunning mountain landscapes of Cordoba.

We leave Córdoba on RN 9 until we arrive at Colonia Caroya, lodging for  descendantes of the inmigrants of northern Italy and famous for its homemade  salamis. There we visit the Estancia Jesuítica Casa de Caroya, which was used as a summer residence for students of Colegio de Monserrat. After that, we will go to Jesús María, renowned for its Festival de Doma y Folclore (taming and folk music festival), where we will find the Estancia Jesuítica San Isidro Labrador, pioneer in the making of wine in the area.

Continuing we visit the historical “Posta de Sinsacate” and area of Barranca Yaco, where the caudillo  Facundo Quiroga was murdered, for arriving later at the Estancia de Santa Catalina, known for the beauty of its church baroque. We go along the Sierras Chicas, pass the picturesque localities Ascochinga, La Granja, Villa Animi, Agua de Oro, Salsipuedes and Río Ceballos and return to Córdoba on RP E-53.

Villa Carlos Paz Tour

Villa Carlos Paz Tour (half day)

Villa Carlos Paz  is one of the most visited areas in the Province of Cordoba. Villa Carlos Paz lies at the entrance to the enchanting Punilla Valley. The village is a popular summer holiday destination, but makes for a spectacular place to visit all year round, surrounded by the beautiful and picturesque Sierras, tranquil lakes and rivers and the impressive San Roque Dam.

We leave Córdoba on E-55 for get to know La Calera, la Usina Hidroeléctrica (power station) and the dam of San Roque, the oldest one of the province. Afterwards we take the Way “Camino de las Cien Curvas” which goes along the lakeside for arriving at Villa Carlos Paz, most important touristic center of the province, where we visit the commercial centre, the residential neighborhood etc. and visit the classical cuckoo clock, a factory of alfajores and a chairlift (ascent optional). We return to Córdoba on the highway Justiniano Allende Posse.

Estancia Alta Gracia Tour

Estancia Alta Gracia Tour (half day)

Discover the history and culture of the Jesuit Estancia Alta Gracia, declared a UNESCO World Cultural and Heritage site as one of the five main ranches preserved in the history of the Jesuit Order in Argentina that has left an important legacy in the country.

We leave Córdoba on RP 5 and pass by the monument of Miryam Stefford, in direction of Alta Gracia, where we learn to know the most important testimonies of its rich cultural patrimony: “el tajamar”, an ancient artificial lake constructed by the jesuits, the Estancia Jesuítica de Alta Gracia (Museo Histórico Casa del Virrey Liniers), the church “Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Merced”, the house where Ernesto “Che” Guevara spent his childhood, the museum of of the celebrated musical composer Manuel de Falla and the cave “Gruta de la Virgen de Lourdes”. Afterwards we embark on the return to Córdoba.

Sierras Chicas Tour

Sierras Chicas Tour (half day)

We leave Córdoba on RP E-55 and visit La Calera, a locality which keeps historical monuments like the old chapel (“la Capilla Vieja”) and the double mill (“Molino Doble”). We pass dam “Mal Paso” and go through a serie of picturesque localities which succeed close to the mountain chain of the Sierras Chicas. Saldán, Villa Allende, well known for its Golf Club, Mendiolaza and Unquillo, chosen by many artists of plastic art as a place of residence and inspiration.

Afterwards we arrive in Río Ceballos, traditional touristic centre close to the hill Nu Pora, where we appreciate the figure of Cristo on the top and enjoy a spectacular panoramic view. Finally we visit the dam “La Quebrada”, the provincial water supply and return to Córdoba.

Horseback Riding

Horseback  Riding Adventure (full day)

In the morning we headed to a typical field located in Cordoba hills, near the town of Candonga. There, passengers receive a talk on the life of the gaucho, the different elements that are part of the mount, recommendations on activity, etc. The first part of the ride is then initiated putting into practice the basics of horsemanship: the walk, trot and canter. After lunch you can tour nearby or enjoy leisure time (summer no pool). Then the second part of the ride starts.

Trekking Adventure (full day)

The Sierras of Cordoba are fascinating places where lovers of nature usually visit. We share with them a day of trekking, discovering hilltops, caves, waterfalls and gorges in the remotest places of our mountains.

Departure time:  Tuesday and Thusdays from 08.00hs to 20.30hs / Saturdays and Sundays from 07.00hs to 22.hs.
Location: Quebrada del Condorito National Park (Tuesdays and Thursdays)

Recommendations: take comfortable shoes and clothes, sunglasses, sunscream, cap, coat, fruits, water, light bag.  We are two hours from Cordoba City and is located in the area of the high peaks so the weather is colder still. On Saturdays and Sundays the trek is more intense for many hours and difficulty level.
