This excursion in Ushuaia can be done in two ways: either you can go by boat to the destination and return by land, or vice versa. Both options visit the same attractions.
One of the top attractions you will visit on this tour from Ushuaia is Estancia Harberton, the oldest, and most traditional and authentic ranch in Ushuaia. Here you will take a guided tour of the Acatushún Museum of Southern Birds and Mammals, where you’ll see the incredible collection of over 2,700 skeletons of marine mammals and 2,300 birds.
You will also sail on the Beagle Channel to the islands of Lobos, Pájaros, Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, and to Martillo Island where you’ll get to walk with penguins among the largest colony of Magellanic penguins in Tierra del Fuego. During this hour-long walk, you’ll also get to observe fascinating species of birds such as petrels, cormorants and South American terns.
