Here, a 17-meter high statue of Uruguay's national hero Jose Gervasio Artigas rises proudly into the sky. Then you can learn about the Legislative Palace (Palacio Legislativo), which is the working place of the General Assembly of Uruguay. Feeling the love? Then enjoy a romantic visit to “El Prado,” a meadow that creates the perfect atmosphere to ignite some passion between you and your loved one. For a more grounded look at the city, relax in local neighborhoods of Carrasco, Punta Gorda and Pocitos. Here you can meet with the friendly locals, and learn about their daily lives in Uruguay.  You will also see the sensational promenade, and walk on the beautiful beaches.
